Review of the three day diet
Three day diet reviewed.
Introduction
Many people are interested in the diet called the Three Day Diet. It is a fasting/cleansing approach that has been reported to help many people lose weight. The plan is simple, and is designed for rapid weight loss only.
Principles of the Diet
The principle is simple: fast weight loss can occur because of the sharp reduction of calories and the increase of fluids. Increase urination should result in less water weight being retained after the three day time period is up.
The Basic Rules of the Three Day Diet are as follows:
- Day One is a complete fast with no food.
- Day Two allows you to have fruit and fruit juice only
- Day Three you have vegetables and vegetable juice only.
- Day Four and beyond, eat normally.
As you can see, the Three Day Diet is not a plan for long term weight loss. It is a stop-gap measure designed for fast weight loss only.
Recommendation
Avoid the Three Day Diet. It is a short term measure with potential dangers that outweight the benefits. Any occurence of fasting for weight loss can result in a profound YoYo effect which may result in you gaining weight.
