Advantages of the popcorn diet

Popcorn is a popular substance, that is widely available in most stores, and is enjoyed by many people. If popcorn was indeed a miracle diet aid, then there would be no problem converting most folks to the diet. Popcorn is part of a healthy diet. It is rich in fiber, and particularly low in fat. This is a winning combination for a healthy food.

Disadvantages of the popcorn diet.

As a single-component diet, popcorn lacks merit. Although it is a good component of an overall solid diet, it is no miracle food. If prepared traditionally with copious amounts of sodium and butter, it fails the test of a diet food dramatically.

Conclusions concerning the popcorn diet

The popcorn diet is not effective. It is a single component low calorie diet that is destined to failure due to being bland. No one can continue a single component diet past the 3rd to 7th day without a major falloff in their enthusiam. Variety is the spice of life and the popcorn diet lacks variety. Our suggestion would be to look for a much more balanced diet.
